Zakon i Poryadok. Prestupniy umiysel (Law & Order. Criminal Intent)

"Zakon i Poryadok. Prestupniy umiysel" is the Russian version of the worldwide known American TV-series Law & Order. Criminal Intent. A group of professionals, consisting of two detectives-partners and their boss, uncovers the most incredible and intricate crimes such as murders, sophisticated frauds, etc. Each episode shows in-depth investigation, the brainwork of the main characters through which they try to understand the make-up of a criminal and to reveal him.

A real crime expert was on hand for the serial. In addition to helping adapt the screenplays and giving advice, he also makes a guest appearance on screen.

Law & Order is one of the series with the most spin-offs in the world and is in second place in terms of duration. It is distinguished by superb plots, excellent direction and outstanding acting. According to the serial’s creator — producer Dick Wolf, the serial’s creed is “only facts”, meaning that the heroes are not as important as the crimes they investigate. So the plots, with each episode recounting how a single crime is investigated, tell nothing about the cops’ private lives — first they gather clues, question witnesses and make searches; then they catch the criminal and hand him over to the public prosecutor, who ensures a harsh but fair sentence in court. In the USA, there are several spin-off series: Law & Order. Criminal Intent and Law & Order. Special Victims Unit. In fact, there are actually three Law & Order series. There is also the original version from which the other two were later spin-offs.
